As of October 30, 2013, PVA had approximately 107,000 gross (approximately 67,000 net) acres in the volatile oil window of the Eagle Ford Shale play in Gonzales and Lavaca Counties, Texas. We entered this play in August 2010 and have built an estimated inventory of up to approximately 1,060 well locations (approximately 158 of which were producing and approximately 16 were being drilled or waiting on completion).
As of late October 2013, we had six operated drilling rigs and one non-operated rig running in the Eagle Ford Shale. We continue to consider opportunities to expand our position, having added approximately 60,000 net acres through acquisitions, leasing and non-consents over the past three years. We estimate as of year-end 2012 that we had approximately 26 million barrels of oil equivalent (MMBOE) of proved reserves in South Texas, 90% of which were oil and NGLs and 37% of which were developed. At June 30, 2013, we estimate that we had approximately 51 MMBOE of proved reserves and approximately 170 MMBOE of total reserves, including probable and possible reserves, in the Eagle Ford Shale.
