As of September 30, 2011, PVA had approximately 28,000 net acres in three fields in Mississippi (Baxterville, Gwinville and Maxie) where we are focused on the horizontal Selma Chalk.
We entered this play in 1999 and had an estimated inventory of up to approximately 183 horizontal Selma Chalk drilling locations at year-end 2010, after having drilled nearly 500 vertical and horizontal wells over the past 11 years. We operate our acreage in this play and have working interests of approximately 100%. The Selma Chalk is primarily dry gas, and we estimate that we had approximately 279 Bcfe 3P reserves at year-end 2010.
Due to the largely held-by-production status of our acreage and the relatively high natural gas content, we have elected to defer drilling in Mississippi until natural gas prices strengthen.
